Click on the book titles below to find a few guiding questions, reading prompts, and activities. Listen as I go through the process!

Reading together with your child offers a great opportunity to engage and expand their vocabulary. Reading bilingual books offers the additional benefit of making connections between more than one language.

Literacy-based education is all about using texts, books, and stories as the foundation for learning experiences. Reading time is precious time, and we can make it even more rewarding for our child and ourselves if we incorporate questions and activities, before, during, and after.

Remember this process should be flexible and creative, you can adapt the suggestions below and add your own ideas to this reading strategy. And do share them with me and the BeeBilingual Club!

Footnote: If your child or the children you are reading with have trouble with their eyesight, express any difficulty seeing or have a specific condition that impairs their vision, instead of asking them what they can see on the front or back cover, describe the cover for them, with as many details as possible. You should also describe in detail the illustrations of all the pages as you read.
